- Christmas Club accounts allow customers to make small
deposits at any time for 50 weeks.
- Christmas Club accounts earn interest, but there is a
fee for early withdrawal.
- Christmas Club checks are issued in time for
Christmas shopping.
Certificates of Deposit
Traditional Individual Retirement Account
- The Traditional IRA provides tax savings to qualified contributors in the form of
deductions of IRA contributions from taxable income.
- The Traditional IRA allows one to defer taxes until
retirement, at which point one might be in a lower tax bracket.
Series EE Savings Bonds
- Series EE Bonds are United States
Treasury securities that earn interest at market-based rates for up to 30 years.
- The purchase price of a bond is half of its
face amount; for example, a $100 bond costs $50.
- Interest is added to the price of the redemption
value every month and paid to the investor when the bond is redeemed.
- Series EE Bonds require a minimum holding
period of six months before a bond can be
redeemed.
